WP2: RHE-MEDiation technologies design for solutions up-scale is completed

The second WP in RHE-MEDiation that is focused on design and development of the technology baskets is completed and four deliverables reporting on the activity are submitted.

The bioremediation system:

Designed and supplied by our partner BLUEMATER SA, a breakthrough innovation is brought within the RHE-MEDiation project that is at the forefront of a green revolution! The project will demonstrate the cleaning capacity of the technology to a wide range of pollutants (from inorganic to organic) on different real-life waters.

The monitoring system:

Our advanced Chemical Substance Monitoring System integrates fixed buoys, floaters, and the Data Platforms of MDM Team with a sensing subsystem, the Smart Cable Water technology, by Sensichips. Designed for speed and accuracy, it swiftly identifies chemical contaminants and shares data with the RHE-MEDiation Ingestion Service.

The data ingestion system:

RINA overseed the development of this web-based data ingestion system with the capacity to transfer real-time observations of physico-chemical parameters and contaminants from our mobile and fixed installations that will be placed in Italy (Mar Piccolo), Greece (Elefsis Bay), and Turkey (Izmit Bay) to EMODnet Physics and Chemistry.

These activities will be followed by pilot installation and demonstration in Work Package 3 and 4.
